Wesley- The Princess Bride
The Princess Bride was on TV last night so we watched it. That has to be one of my most favorite movies of all time! It's hilarious. But this quote that Wesley says to the Princess is so true!- for those who believe in eternal life that it. I liked it.
It was in the month of December that we bought our house, so all the plants and everything were already gone for the winter so we had no idea what our yard would turn out to look like. And there are both some
good and bad things about it. Today, I will show you the good. (We are still working on fixing the bad, so when we finish I will to some before and after pics). There were so many beautiful flowers! The back yard was surrounded in lilac bushes, which I love! And they smell soo good.
In the front yard was this lovely thing. I'm not sure what any of the rest of these flowers are called but I love this orange one. I think this one might have snuck under the fence from our neighbors yard.... oh well.
Also in the front yard, there were these pretty pink ones that were huge! Well most of them where. they started off small like the next picture. So there were some of each.
The last picture is what they looked like from further back. We also had tulips on the other side
of the front yard but I forgot to take a picture of them! We lucked out on these pretty bushes but there are also some very ugly things that need some help. I guess that's what we get for buying a house in the winter without being able to see the yard before the purchase! I decided I kind of like doing yard work, just not in the middle of a hot hot day... hopefully we'll get it looking nice before it gets cold again!

i love the flowers! i'm such a flower fanatic! i want to come see your cute house! josh and i are always cruising around logan on our scooter so next time we're out and about in the island, i'm calling you up!
I haven't seen your lilac bushes! I'm jealous. Yes, those are definately the beautiful parts of your yard. I'm glad you like to do yard work. One of you needs to love it- that's for sure. Does Brody like to, or does he like to just sit in a lawn chair on the roof and watch???
The orange flowers are poppys and the pink are peonys. Lucky!
I wish I had that many flowers! But I guess I need a yard first:)!!
Those flowers are gorgeous. I'm jealous of your lilacs. I bought a bunch in April, and they have already bloomed and disappeared. I think they might all die. Yard work can be fun...if your house stays clean while you are outside. So enjoy that before there are little Hatch's making messes behind your back.
Lovely flowers! I definitely love seeing flowers as we don't have many around here this time of year. Good luck with all the yard work...one of the downsides to owning a home.
