Our Halloween this year was both sweet and sour. We drove down to Kaysville to hang out with Brody's mission comp./good friend Landon and his girlfriend Shelly. We went out for a yummy dinner and then later watch extremely old- and by extremely old I mean black and white horror movies which was perfect because they were entertaining (because they were so bad), perfect for the holiday, while at the same time, not too scary for me.
The sour part of the day came after dinner when we sadly discovered our car was broken. It would start for about 3 seconds and then sputter and die. We left it there over night (we had to call my aunt and uncle Jessica and Tommy to come pick us up. They were so great to do that, thanks guys! You're the best) and then had a friend of Shelly's come look at it in the morning. He couldn't figure out what was wrong but did use his truck to tow our car to a nearby car place (which was also very nice and helpful!) We got a call a few hours later saying the car had a broken fuel pump and that they wouldn't be able to get the part till Monday and also that it would be $500... blah.
Luckily (our third convenience and largelyhelpful hand), my mom just happened to be in Bountiful at a baptism and was just getting ready to go back to Logan when I called. So everything worked out fine except for the part when we have to squeeze in driving down to Kaysville on Monday to pick it up. And paying the $500 which is never fun.

That is lucky that you could get a ride back to Logan with us Saturday. I'm so sad about your car problems. Car problems are never a good thing- although the last time our van wouldn't start it only ended up costing us $28 for a battery cable replacement. Usually we don't get away from any car repairs for less that several hundred dollars. So I feel for you! I'm glad you still managed to have fun!
p.s. yes, Jake did get your BD text!
Hey, we are happy about it all cuz it meant we got to see you guys! Although i wish it didn't cost ya that much!
Car repair bills are the worst. Especially large, unexpected ones. So sorry.
That's always a bummer! You may have jinxed yourself when you commented on my blog saying you haven't had anything too bad happen to you guys recently! I totally feel your pain... it made me a little sick to write out a $2700 check the other day. I hope nothing more goes wrong with your car! Good luck with that!
Sorry about the car troubles Kylee! I hope it gets fixed quick.
I just love how willing you are to learn and improve. I also love your mom's costume!
