We're back!

We're back from our cruise (which was probably the funnest vacation I've ever been on) but I can't post about it yet because our computer still isn't done!!! Apparently we were supposed to order the program for windows which we didn't know about and now it'll take 3 days to get here, and I don't love the idea of uploading all my pictures onto a different computer so you'll just have to wait...

In the meantime- we put our house up for sale! We might be moving in August for Brody to go to grad school in Arizona so we want to make sure it's sold by then. We're selling the house by owner so I hope things go well since we don't really know what we're doing... So far we've posted the house on KSL and Craig's List so if anyone out there knows of anyone who is looking to buy a house, here are the link's- Craig's & KSL or just tell them to call us!

Broken.

Right now, we have so many things that are broken or need to be repaired. A lot of them happened with in a two week period. I'm not trying to complain about any of this stuff because none of it has been a huge problem or hastle, I just thought it was weird that it all happened around the same time.

1. The first thing to break was our DVD player. It's just old and we need a new one, but have been without one for almost a month. So hopefully we'll get around to getting a new one soon.
2. The next thing to go was our laptop (it broke while we were watching a movie on it since we didn't have a DVD player...) which is why I haven't done a new post for so long, or leave comments. It's still getting fixed so I'm using my parent's computer. I'm hoping they won't even be able to fix it though because we have a warranty on it which would buy us a brand new one for free! The warranty is also covering all the labor and parts, so we won't have to pay for anything, which is nice.
3. The next broken thing to occur was the tail light on our car. Someone backed into it in a parking lot and the whole thing needs to be replaced. Luckily there was no damage to the body of the car (although it may look like it- it's just really dirty) so it will only be $130 to fix. Which we also won't have to pay for because thankfully we walked out into the parking lot right after it happened so the girl was there to give us her information.

4. The last thing isn't really broken it just needs to be replaced. The window in our bathroom has been leaking really bad because it's in the shower so it gets wet all the time. The water leaked down the outside of the house and caused water bubbles in the siding. We thought we found the paint that the previous owners used for the siding so Brody took a scrapper to the bubbles and ripped a lot of paint off in the process. When I went to paint it however, we realized it was not even close to the same color. We've been through a long process to try and find the exact paint color but I think we finally found it. Since it's too cold now, we had to hang up this plastic sheet and put a heater underneath in order for the paint to dry. It's a bit of a hassle... (this is after some dog stepped on it and ripped it down- No, not Sal, he was in the backyard, I promise)In the meantime- we didn't want the window to leak anymore, so Brody caulked the whole thing completely shut and then hung a towel over the window opening to make sure no water could get in. It's hideous looking and we can't even open it anymore (Although, I don't know why anyone would want to open the window while they were in the shower). But anyway, we finally got around to replacing it and it's going to cost about $300 (for just ONE stupid little window!- Oh well...). This time we have to pay for it.

Now we're off to go on a CRUISE which leaves in a few days, so it'll be a while till I can post again!!

New Years

For New Years Eve we went to a party at the Bundy's with some of their friends. We didn't know anyone else, but they have cool friends so it was a lot of fun! We did an amazing race around Ogden, played lots of other fun games and ate some very yummy food. Brody and I then stayed the night (noticed the word "stayed" not "slept" that's because Brody went with Ryan and all his friends to play Halo till 7 in the morning. I only made it till 4:30 talking with Lindsey and one of her friends).

---------------------------
The next morning, New Years Day my family picked us up and we went to Salt Lake for the day (one of the MANY traditions my family has). We went to lunch, saw a movie, did some shopping, went to the temple and ended with dinner. It was a great day!

At the Gateway, there was this awesome tree that was completely chuck full of lights- blue and white- and they did cool things; meaning sometimes is was blue.....
sometimes it was white...and sometimes it was in the middle...

The lights at the temple were of course gorgeous as well. I just love lights. It boggles my mind how many strands of lights they have on just one tree!! And I also love lights with the temple in the same picture.

We walked from the Gateway to the Temple, so to make the walk a little more fun and exciting, I thought I would walk the whole way back to the car with my eyes closed. And I really did! I didn't open them once. It was so scary- the whole time I felt like I was going to trip over a curb or that a big tree branch was going to knock me down. Brody helped me though and Jessica too. I feel bad for blind people. (Best line of the night (by Jessica): How do real blind people know which car is theirs??? ha ha. It only took her a few seconds to realize, oh ya, blind people probably don't drive ANY car)
