Just 2 weeks after my sister and her husband came to visit, we had more visitors!! This time Brody's mom Varsi and her husband Con came to stay with us. They came Friday evening and stayed until Sunday evening last week. We had a lot of fun showing them the town and I think they really enjoyed Fort Collins. Here's a look at some of the stuff we did:
We went on a bike ride (a must)
Went to many local restaurants
Walked around downtown where there was a big event going on (as usual in the summer here), so they had a bunch of booths set up and a live band playing in the middle of the street. This was a perfect example of the awesomeness of Fort Collins (the fact that there is ALWAYS something going on downtown), and I'm glad they got to see it in action!
We also went on a tour of the Budweiser Brewery. Beer is a big deal here in Fort Collins and apparently the city is in the top 25 best beer cities in the world. They also give free tours, so we thought it would be a fun activity. Even though I don't drink beer, it was still really cool to see how it was made. We learned that just from that one brewery, they make 7 million cans of beer per day!
I had Memorial Day off work which was great! Our friends Coy and Suzie came over for a pool party in the afternoon...
And that night we went to a family's house in our ward for a BBQ with Nicole and Casey. This family- The Holt's, are awesome. They remind me a lot of my family, and they have been so good to invite us over a lot ever since we moved into the ward. We played badminton, ate yummy food and played Battle of the Sexes.

Jake's Graduation
My younger brother Jake graduated from High School this last week. Now I only have 1 sibling left in grade school- so weird! I volunteered to make his graduation video (something that both my sister and I had for graduation as well) - it's just a compilation of pictures from his childhood and high school years put to music that my mom showed to everyone at his graduation party. I worked on that a lot during the month of May, and I'm happy with the way it turned out. Jake is an awesome dude. He's always saying or doing something to make people laugh and he is just fun to be around. Not to mention his good looks. I'm so proud of him! I wish I could have been there to celebrate.

Choices/Decisions/Changes
There was a lot of tough decisions for us to make in the month of May. Well, actually only two and neither of them are necessarily life changing but are somewhat important nonetheless. I've spent a lot of time debating, praying and getting advice and opinions from others and I think I've finally made a decision on both dilemmas. I'll give more info later, when the changes are confirmed, but until then, I thought I'd post these pictures, which I found helpful for my situation.

So fun Kylee! And I love those quotes at the end. Thanks for sharing. I'm definitely NOT dead I guess;)
So weird, I was on Brad's phone last night and saw you had a new post, and I got on my computer to leave a comment this morning and it didn't say you had a new one. That's fun that Varsi and Con came. Was that their first time to? That's so cool that you have a family in your ward that you like and that will invite you over. I like the quote at the end! ;)
oh ya and I can't believe Jake is graduated either!! So crazy. I can't wait to see the finished video you made for him.
That is so neat of the Holt family to be so nice to you guys! I love them for that. I like the quotes too- both of them are very true. I'm glad your decision making is behind you and now you can just work towards the new direction you'll be taking in the coming months. Can't wait to see you in a month!
I laughed out loud when I saw you went on a Budweiser tour! You guys crack me up!
Great post. Fun stuff. Sad I won't be having a special post titled "when the Bundy's came to visit us and it was the best time of our lives!!" Sad. Oh well. Perhaps in the fall. I love those quotes. I have the heart beat one on my pinterest page, but I haven't seen the other one. I am definitely going to start giving that a try :)
Looking forward to the 4th! It's fun to entertain people. But I like what Benjamin Franklin said: fish and guests stink after 3 days! I've always believed that!!!!
