ABC baby shower

Last week, my friend Nicole and I (along with some new friends Lori and McKenzie) threw a baby shower for Suzie, who is due in August with a boy.  We decided on an 'ABC/book' theme and I thought it turned out great!

For the invitations, Nicole and I thought it would be a great idea to make little books with all the shower information on each page.  In the beginning, we had no idea how we would go about actually doing this, but things slowly came together and in the end, it somehow worked out.

These are the pages inside the book

Here's what the backyard looked like

On the menu: Spice scones, Blueberry scones, Fruit Salad, Breakfast Casserole and Orange cookies.  The decorations were just a mix between what the 4 of us had in our homes already, with a few homemade items in addition.

We had everyone bring a book to start Suzie's baby book collection and we also had everyone pick a letter of the alphabet and draw a picture to go along with that letter so she can have her own personalized ABC book.  Some of the drawings were professional-looking (*cough - McKenzie - cough*) and some were just funny-looking (*cough - Me - cough*).

Here are a few examples...

I think everyone had a good time!

You truly are the master party planner. You could/should start your own business. Seriously! You should honestly think about that someday when you're a stay-at-home mom! Everything looked so cute. Good job.

Yes, I agree.. master party planner! I'm planning a shower for my friend out here, and it just won't be able to be that cute, cause none of us brought anything out here. Great job on the fun party!
