Random things.

I can't believe how short this last winter was. It didn't really get cold and snowy till mid December, and now, in mid March it's already very warm. So, to take advantage, Brody and I, along with Ryan and Lindsey went up Logan canyon and for dinner on Friday night. We had tin foil dinners, dutch oven cobbler, and s'mores. It was so yummy and it was great to be outside with only a thin jacket. It did get pretty cold though once the sun went down, but the fire kept us warm. When we got there, we discovered there was a lot of garbage from during the winter that hadn't been cleaned up yet. One item in the pile was a ski boot, and of course, being guys, Brody and Ryan thought it would be fun to burn it-- so we did. And it actually burned all the way into nothing! It was pretty cool...

Last night, we went to see the movie "Knowing" after a scrumptious dinner at Cafe Sabor with our friends Brett and Emily. The movie was pretty good but extremely scary and not really what I was expecting. It ended up being an end of the world type movie which is great but I will never again see that type of movie during a wind storm. The wind outside was so strong that it sounded like the theater was going to collapse. It was loud enough that every person watching the movie was looking around and whispering loudly. I was scared for my life! I thought it really was the end of the world in real life!

Brody is awesome, I just have to say that. He bought a road bike at the D.I. for about $15 and then put about $60 into it to make it an awesome bike! And he did it all himself! It looks great and I'm just amazed that he could figure all that stuff out. He turned it into a single speed, got a new saddle, fixed the handle bars and breaks, and much more. He rides it all around now and looks freaking hot on it!

Too bad we woke up to several inches of snow today. Oh wait- I'm saying that to the wife of the skier of the universe! He's probably hitting the slopes as we speak! That was a crazy warm weekend, and hopefully we'll get back to it. I'm glad you had fun w/ the bundy's- crazy about the wind at your theatre. We didn't get that strong of a wind at our house, although it did blow over our camp chef grill. Oh, and Brody does have skills. That's awesome that he can figure stuff like that out. Believe me, that will come in handy in the future.
Also- I noticed the comments keep coming on your "he got in" post. WOW- 23. That's cool that Joyce, Ann's HS friend even commented!

Good to know about the movie, we've been wondering. That's the one with Nicholas Cage, right? I loved the fire up the canyon. Those foil dinners were so yummy. Make them in the oven some night and let me know if they're nearly as good. We loved staying up and chatting. Thanks for coming over! Maybe next time you guys come Brody can bring his road bike and he and Bundy can do a ride around the lake.

What a fun thing to do with the bike. Josh did that to some dirt bikes last year that he got for $5 at the city auction. He took them apart and spray painted them and used parts from one to fix up the other. They should go biking together some time. :)
