A quick trip to Arizona

This last weekend Brody and I were able to go to Arizona to
look at some apartments
. Our friends Nate and Kim were going down to pick up a car they just bought, so we went down with them. We left on Friday and came back Monday so it was a lot of driving in a short amount of time!! We took our Jetta so Nate and Kim could take home their new car so it was fun to have all 4 of us in a car. It was also nice to rotate between so many drivers and we had some great conversations. It took about 10 hours to get to Flagstaff where we stayed with Kim’s sister for the night. On Saturday we drove down to Phoenix/Glendale to hang out and look at our apartments. One of the ones we were thinking about ended up being pretty dumpy and we realized that 2 miles away from campus is a long way for Brod to ride his bike in the hot Arizona heat so we drove over to Thunderbird campus to look at some that were a little closer. Our second choice ended up being literally across the street from campus and much nicer! It is more expensive, but I think it'll be worth it. So I’m glad we were able to check things out before we move all our stuff down. I'm getting excited to move but when we drove back into the northern part of Utah, I realized I'm going to miss it here a lot!

You just now realized you're gonna miss Utah? Lets keep that thought going- maybe that will get you guys back here before I've had to suffer too long. . .
I'm glad you went so you could check things out before you move.

I'm so glad you are moving here, even though not in my part of the valley. Thank goodness for my guest rooms!

I'm glad that you guys found a place. Especially with a great location. That will help you to be able to see more of Brody since he won't have to commute. You'll miss Utah and family here, but missing family and roots is good for the soul.

To answer your question in my home tour post: we lived in our home in Mesa for 6 years and 3 months, that's why in Dec of this year when we reached 6 years and 4 months that it was the longest!
