The joys of living in an apartment complex

So we've kind of gone backwards with where we've lived-- we went from living in a basement apartment, to our own house, to an apartment complex. That doesn't seem right. Oh well. There are many new experiences that come along with living in an apartment complex; both the good and the not so great.

First: Doing laundry in a laudromat. Good thing there is one in the complex so it's not far but still, it's not IN our house.

Second: Having to take Salomon outside ourselves for him to do his business instead of him just being able to walk out his doggy door whenever he wants. This is a new experience, but so far it hasn't been too bad.

{This last picture is for you mom!}

Third: We have a pool! It's close and it's free and has been great fun so far! There's 2 and they even have a heated one for the winter.

I bought some cheap pool toys at the dollar store (because no where else is selling them anymore! It's too late in the summer...) not realizing they were probably made for infants. Needless to say they didn't last long (that little blue spot in the middle of the sidewalk in the last picture is the remains of Brody's inflatable seahorse that he named Paul. Weird...).

Funny he named that horse paul.. We miss you guys but looks like you are having a great time. Having a pool is a huge plus.. I feel for ya on the laundry situation, I have a hard enough time doing it in my own home. But at least you have a place to do it right?

dang! Stacie beat me to making the first comment. Thats it- I'm quitting my job so I can stay home and just wait for you to do a new post. haha- loved seeing the apt life, and also my guy SAL!!! I loved it. It makes me smile to see pictures of him. Crazy, I know. There was a time when I would have just rolled my eyes! I think Brody's lacking something from his childhood that he would give that blow up horse a name! That's so funny. I'm happy as always to hear and see what you're up to!

Poor Paul. I hear ya with the laundry thing! The only good thing about it is that you can get all your laundry done at once instead of multiple loads that take allllll day!

Can you come home yet!? So after seeing your post we googled almost every kind of dog imaginable... I'm thinkin Adam really wants one. Me, not so much. If i knew for sure he would be a good dog like Sal I would be all over the idea.

I just got caught up on your blog. It sounds like you made it and are liking it. I hope you find a job soon. You tell everyone down there that if they don't hire you, Michelle Johnnie will come kick their butts!!! That should do the trick. Miss you guys!
