Highlights of our trip to Mexico

Hello everyone.  We just got back from the best vacation ever...  staying at a beach house for a week with my whole family in Akumal, Mexico (an hour south of Cancun).  We spent 3 days at some cool all-inclusive adventure parks (Xel-Ha was centered around the beach/ocean, Xplor was centered around the jungle, and Xcaret had a lot of exotic animals and sea life).  The rest of our time was spent relaxing on the beach.  It was perfect.  Here are the highlights:

FUN AT THE BEACH HOUSE

We had fun making sand castles and playing on the beach

Did some kayaking

Played us some beach volleyball

And many card games at night

 Just relaxed.  

This might have been my favorite part of the trip--
a hammock, a book, and the ocean.
What more do you need?

THE ADVENTURE PARKS

Visited the Mayan ruins at Tulum

Swam with dolphins!

 Did lots of snorkeling

Drove Rhinos through the jungle...

...and through some caves

Zip-lined above the trees (this is on our way to the top)

River-rafted through a cool underground cave

Saw a ton of cool creatures, but the turtles and pink flamingos were my favorite.

I just love beach scenery

Well that's it!  We had a blast!!  It was so great to get away and enjoy the sun, sand and surf (well, we didn't actually surf, but you know what I mean).
