Winter is a hard time of year when there's not enough time/snow/money to go skiing. Because of that, we haven't been up to much.... BUT the last few days have been so nice and warm!! We spent as much time as we could outside and loved it. I can't wait till spring!
Here's a bunch of random pictures from the last 2 months. Some were taken purely for the sake of making a more exciting post (you'll see what I mean at the end)
This is at our stake adult-only-chili-cook-off party. There was some yummy food and some {interesting} entertainment. The best part of the night was when everyone stood up and did the chicken dance..... It was pretty comical.

We helped my friend Nicole celebrate her birthday since her husband was out of town at the time. I made her favorite meal and invited some friends over for cake and ice cream. I think she had a good day.
For a couple weeks, Sal had something wrong with his eye. It got all swollen and then turned red. We never figured out what it was but it's slowly getting back to normal. Poor guy.
Last month, we became official Colorado residents.
2 years ago I was saying the same thing about Arizona in this post. I was much more sad to say goodbye to our UT license plates than our AZ plates.
There is an awesome neighborhood right by our apartment that has a ton of cool houses surrounding a beautiful private lake. The loop that goes through the neighborhood is the perfect length for an afternoon walk.
This beautiful 'masterpiece' is Brody's unicorn, whom he named Atreyu.
He bought it from Goodwill in December as a white elephant gift for a party we were going to. Well, something came up and we didn't end up going to that party, so now, much to my dismay, he just wants to keep it forever.
His ideal home for Atreyu is here...
But it's actual home is here....
This might be a battle that goes on for a while.

Brody is such a character. You should shatter it and then just say April Fool's so you don't get in trouble, and yet all your problems will be solved.
68!! That is a gor-geous day! It was 50 today and we were outside all day, which was still pretty nippy, but we didn't mind. I'm excited for spring too.
I don't know what I'm laughing the hardest at: your last picture or Lindsey's comment! Good stuff. Glad you got through the winter in one piece. I love your red wall in the dining area.
That unicorn! What would be fun would be for you guys to hide it from each other in odd places- it's fun finding it and then being the one to hide it next. Me and Dad have been doing that for a year now with a pen that he said he hates writing with and didn't want it in the jar by the phone, so I took it and put it next to his toothbrush that night, and we've been having fun hiding it ever since. But that unicorn is a big larger, so it wouldn't be as easy. Sal's eye! so sad! Is it totally better yet? Love that you're enjoying such warm weather. That's nice you gave Nicole a BD party. And yay for getting rid of the AZ plates! Thanks for doing a post, even if you didn't think it was that excited. Of course I love seeing and hearing anything from you.
I feel sorry for Sal and his poor eye! I'm glad it's feeling better. Brody is so funny! Ya I wouldn't want that thing sitting out either. That's fun that you had a party for your friend. Loved hearing what you've been up to.
Long live the unicorn! I love your growing collection of licence plates that will make for cool garage decor someday. You are a great friend and I'm sure Nicole appreciated having someone celebrate her.
The unicorn story is the best. I love things like that in marriage. Those crazy little jokes that go on that make no sense whatsoever!
I laughed out loud when I saw the picture showing where the unicorn actually lives - way funny!
