4th of July in Utah

We spent the 4th of July in Utah and had a great time! We were there from Wednesday the 4th to Sunday the 8th, so another short trip.  Originally, we weren't planning on going back home so soon after our last visit at the end of April, but I was one of just a few people at work who actually got time off work around this big holiday, so I figured I would take advantage of it!

The 4th of July was a great day! In the morning, we took my brother's scooter out for a spin.  It was the first time either of us had been on a scooter.  I was a little nervous driving that thing all by myself at first, but in the end, I thought it was fun!  

After that we had a big breakfast with my extended relatives.  My aunt and cousins are so creative with food and decor.

Then, we drove out to Bountiful and spent the whole day at my aunt's pool. They have a pretty sweet set-up in their backyard and it was so nice of them to let us spend the day there.  We had fun laying out, playing pool games (marco polo, categories and find the toothpick), eating yummy treats, relaxing and having a cook-out!

To end the day, we went to see the fireworks in Liberty. These fireworks are my favorite, and I think we've been there 4 out of the last 6 years.  It's a small town, but you are so close to where the fireworks are shooting from, that they fill the whole sky! They had some music playing before the show started and my nieces Emma and Lydia had a great time dancing with their glow sticks.

It was a great day!!

Sadly, other than the 4th, I didn't take any pictures of our trip, but here are some of the other things we did...

- Saw a movie

- Went shopping

- Played games
- Went for a bike ride

- Had tin foil dinners

- Went to SLC

- Ate out at Apple Spice cafe and the Crepery

- Roasted marshmallows 

- Hung out with Brody's friends from High School and their wives

- Ate otter pops
- Went for a walk

We had a great week and loved spending time with our families!
