Went to a new {and very awesome} candy/soda shop. They have hundreds of flavors of soda ranging from delicious to disgusting. Some notable flavors were: Bacon, Spicy Buffalo Wings, Peanut Butter and Jelly, Cotton Candy, Graham Cracker, Green Apple Jalapeno (same drink), Cucumber, Red Licorice, just to name a few. And of course there was any kind of fruit/fruit mixture you can think of. Jessica got Pineapple, I got (Jelly Belly) Juicy Pear, Brody was brave and got the Spicy Buffalo Wings (he only made it through 2 swallows before throwing it away - what a waste! But he HAD to try it), and Brad got Passion Fruit Ginger Ale. I have a strange feeling that we will be going back to that store very frequently.
Went on a bike ride around our new {interesting} neighborhood
Went to a festival in downtown Fort Collins.
Hiked up to the 'A' - History lesson: The CSU Rams used to be called the 'Aggies'! Just like USU. How cute. It's fading quite a bit, as you can see, but the hike was pretty much out our front door and down a couple blocks and it was still fun to get a little work-out, see all the rocks painted white and get a good view of the city and the football stadium below. Jess and I tried our best to made our own 'A' and I think we did about as good a job as the 'A' on the mountain (in other words, not very good)
Look at how dark she is! I look like a ghost compared to her. I guess that's what happens when you spend the summer in Texas laying out at the pool everyday. Lucky duck. |
Let's try this again ...... Nope, not much better |
We also ate out at Moe's BBQ, played lots of Rook (as always) and watched Jurassic Park one night (that movie still scares me!)
I'm so glad they got to come stay with us (again!). We always have so much fun together. In just a couple weeks, they are off to PERU for the semester to do a study abroad. You have no idea how jealous I am - Peru is on the top of my list of places to visit. They will have so much fun and I'm so excited for them!
OH and in reference to my last post, since Brad and Jess won't be needing their Bosch while they're in Peru, Jess left her's here for me to borrow until they get back!!! Boo-ya! I officially have all 4 items on my list! Granted, I'll only get to use it for about 4 months, but hey, it's better than not at all!

{{I promise I'll get pictures of our new place up soon! Hopefully this week.}}

Great post Ky! We loved loved loved staying with you guys (both times) and we are so glad that we were able to spend time with you guys. That was a sweet post, you are the absolute best! Love you!
Happy day- new posts from both my girls! I'm so happy you all had such a fun time together. Those soda flavors are ridiculous! Why would Brody want to try the one he did (now I can't remember what it was but it sounded sick). I'm sure they're spendy. The hike to the "A" looks fun. I want to do that next time. I think your attempt to form an A with your bodies was pretty good! Hurray that Jess left you her Bosch! I hadn't heard that! Oh, and btw, I did leave a comment on your last post. . . sorry so slow
