The Denver Airport

We spent all of last week in San Francisco and had a blast!  I'm still working on finishing that post (it'll be a long one!), so in the meantime, I thought I'd share something interesting...

Has anyone ever been to the Denver Airport??  It. is. WEIRD!!!

1).  The actual airport building is shaped like a bunch of giant carnival tents put together (and the roof actually is made of a very thick canvas material - just like a tent!)

2).  Next to the road as you approach the airport, there is a huge, blue statue of a horse/bronco with glowing red eyes (WHAT???)

3).  Inside the airport, there are multiple extremely questionable murals on the walls.

4).  And finally, the airport runways are in the shape of a Swastika

Weird, no??  There are a lot of conspiracy theories about the airport, which I don't really get into, but I do think the whole thing is pretty interesting and a little funny.  What a random airport we live by.

On a sort of separate note, We had a layover in SLC and it just happened to be at the exact same time that Britt & JD and the kids were in the airport waiting to fly to San Diego!!!  So we had lunch with them and had fun watching Dylan walk down the moving walkway and watch the airplanes come and go.

I love when awesome random things like that happen!

Who knew? That's pretty interesting/weird. Did you know that was the case before you went there? Did you take that picture from the air of the airport or did you get it online somewhere?

Even weirder, the creator of the Evil Bronco died when the horse fell on him! Killed by his own art work.
