Snowshoeing in Rocky Mountain National Park

Like I mentioned in my last post, our Saturday's during the winter are rather boring and uneventful but the last few Saturday's have been pretty fun.

Saturday Adventure #2 (March 2): Snowshoeing in RMNP
Our friends Jon & Carrie invited us over for a yummy breakfast Saturday morning and then drove us down to Rocky Mountain National Park to go snowshoeing as part of Jon's birthday celebration.  It was a lot of fun to hang out with them, get some fresh air and exercise and see the beauty of the mountains.  It was a perfect day for this activity, with a high of 46 degrees.  I'm glad we were able to go!

We hiked to this frozen lake called Bear Lake

It was a very fun day!

Saturday adventures live on! Remember them growing up? That's a great tradition that needs to be continued with your children and Brody- and therefore a nice rest for Mom. The scenery is so beautiful there. Was it warm? I'm glad you got to do that. Did your friends have snowshoes you used or did you have to rent?
